The Georgia Dream Track & Field (GDTF) team was founded, established, and developed in March 2004. GDTF is a member of and competes in the USA Track & Field national organization within the Georgia Association. GDTF has plans in joining and also competing in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) to increase its competition base. In February 2006, Georgia Dream was voted into the Georgia Parks and Recreation Association (GPRA) to compete in the spring youth development track and field league.

The Georgia Dream Track & Field Team has had tremendous success to include sending one of its athletes to the 2004 USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in Eugene, Oregon. This athlete has also been recognized in the 2004 Elite Youth Athlete Honor Roll. GDTF also has raised 11 athletes (2004 & 2005) that have been awarded the USATF Scholar Athlete Award.Coaches RaSheed & Tracey Lemon

GDTF presents a positive and proactive approach to make all its athletes competetive in track & field, regardless of aptitude or ability. GDTF believes that being a positive influence and role model to our youth, young men, and women today, it will give them an attitude of success that will cause them to succeed. GDTF believes in this saying:

“Life and success is 15% aptitude & 85% attitude. It is your attitude, NOT your aptitude that determines your altitude!”

GDTF is a vehicle in leading our youth, young men, and women in the right direction, giving them the necessary tools to be successful on and off the track. It is our belief that some will raise to state, national, world class, and even Olympic standards through our leadership. Those that do not are not any less than the one’s that do; in fact we believe they will carry a state, national, world class, and/or an Olympic attitude with them no matter where they go, impacting and changing the world. Our motto boldy states, "Acheiving Our Dreams!"
